The Passport Seva Project, undertaken by the Passport Seva Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of the Government of India, seeks to deliver a comprehensive range of passport-related services to Indian citizens with efficiency, convenience, and transparency. This initiative stands as one of the most significant projects under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), operating through a public-private partnership model with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) serving as the private collaborator.

Currently, the project has been successfully implemented and is accessible to citizens via 93 Passport Seva Kendras and 412 Post Office Passport Seva Kendras across the nation.

In an effort to enhance mobile accessibility to public services, MEA has introduced a Mobile Application named 'Passport Seva.' This application provides smartphone users with a variety of services, including tracking the status of passport applications, locating Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs), and accessing detailed information about the procedures involved in obtaining a passport.
